Chernobyl by VictoriaDruciaki Chernobyl by VictoriaDruciaki
It's based on the nuclear accident in Chernobyl, in 1986, Ukraine. Perhaps humans should pay more attention to their creations and the seccurity of themselves. Anyways, hope this means something to you 030
I'm sorry if this offends someone, It's not my intention!

Sassy girl! OwO

---

That aside, the disaster at Chernobyl was indeed horifying. Heck, reactor 4 wasn't even that safe in normal operation... Nor did the man in charge of the safety test even stick to the required power output, somewhere between the 700 and 1000 MegaWatts, so that the reactor was at least stable!

A poorly designed reactor, incompitent staff, infighting of the Communist Regime... And now, Chernobyl and its neighboring city Pripyat are being taken over by Mother Nature...

You know, Dyatlov, deputy chief engineer, then in general wanted to test for levels 400-200 MegaWatts. But not only his fault. The reactor would start and finish to the holiday Labor -1 May. Chamber from which the water fed and where vapor fed to the turbines for power generation was constructed anyhow, and water in the reactor came in too large quantities,or in too small. As a result, the reactor could not work out for themselves enough energy. And energy has dropped to zero. The most reasonable thing would be to stop the experienced But Dyatlov decided otherwise. He ordered to withdraw from the reactor control rods. (For the record - they either increase the reactor power or reduce. It depends on how much they raise or lower) In the end, they were taken away leaving only 6. Of course the energy crept up, but the engineers did not know that there comes too little water. The reactor was rapidly heated. When the energy crept up too quickly, then ordered to lower the bars back because of their graphite tip reduces the power.Although before it will start to reduce the activity of uranium rods, he gives three-second, but powerful burst of energy. As a result, first exploded once, distorting the rods, and then the second. Moreover, the explosion was so powerful that the lid of the reactor, which weighs 1,112 tons and 5 meters in thickness soared.

What about the last words do not agree. The staff was more than competent. All experts selected by leading nuclear scientists of the USSR. Including Dyatlov. And yes, not only Pripyat and Chernobyl are empty, all the surrounding villages too. Nearly 130,000 people were evacuated.

Thanks for the amazing comment! I really appreciate ones like this.
Chernobyl's disaster was a shame. And the fact that it was a dumb and negligent human failure makes me even angrier...
I've made another Chernobyl art, If you want to take a look ~ victoriadruciaki.deviantart.co…

Chernobyl? It's empty, isn't it? Pripiyat, I mean. It's open to visit it I guess... but I think it's still kinda dangerous to stay for too long there

It's beautiful, to say the least. It reminds me a bit of the liquidators and biorobots for some reason. Anyway, I love the police tape, not only for the perfect placement, but also for its accuracy in the historical event. I like the way you've made it seem as if she was crying green tears. It makes me wonder if her eyes changed colors to a lighter blue after the accident, as several firefighters' did before dying. Forgive my useless rambling--I tend to do that a lot about things that are beautiful.

Don't apologize! I loved your words, and that's the point of the art, you interpret as you think it is. You know, disasters and wars aways leaves marks, and Europe has a lot of them, and that's what makes them strong. Pain teaches sometimes...
Unfortunately, some people just learn when this kind of accidents happen.
Anyways, thank you <3

YES!! Finally, something about Chernobyl that is GOOD!!
I love it when someone can interpret actual historical events (or current events) in Hetalia in a way that isn't offensive and totally awful!

Thank you so much <3
I feel like Hetalia can be pretty sad sometimes, I mean, it's about the world and the world has its imperfections and sad stories... And we, the fans, should use it in a way thats not offensive for the one who suffered, but beautiful! Art it's made to express feelings, and that's what I tried to do :D
Again, thanks -3-

Yeah, you're welcome! When I try to interpret events like this, I find that it can be rather hard to do it in a respectful way, considering that Hetalia is normally so happy and silly. I know that a lot of fans seem to not really be able to do that. But I guess that's what we can appreciate about people who can do that.Heart
